Lytro warm-up & Ethics In Fashion Photography

1. What did you see happen when you clicked on the photo?
Yes it focus on what you click on.

2. How does this new camera work?

Takes two pictures I'm guessing and one focus on one place and the other on the things behind it.

3. What do you think a photographer would have to know about to take this kind of photo (remember its a point-and-shoot, so its full manual mode, what do you need to know about)

How to work the camera and all the rules of photography to get a good picture.

4. Is it worth the money?

To some people yes its worth money but i think its like any other photo.

Fashion

1. List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look carefully)
They changed her length of her neck, her hair, and basically the whole face area.

2. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or why not? No because its not the same person after they switch them thru the computer and it makes it look better but its not really how they look.

3. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation? They manipulate people by trying to say a product does this to people just to sell more product.

4. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?
Like hiding pimples and bad teeth seem more okay than change the over all appearance.

5. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism. Photo journalism uses photos that are not filtered or changed by any computer program to make it look better.

6. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each? If the photo is taken in a good ethical way it will be a good effect on reality. And the opposite can happen doh.

self portrait and portraits part 2 and rules of photography part 2

10 - Have fun with it. Be sexy. Be yourself. Be awesome. Be different. Be creative. Whatever you do, have fun with it. That’s part of the point, after all.

Don't be shy. If you approach people in the right way, they'll usually be happy to have their picture made. It's up to you to break the ice and get them to cooperate. Joke around with them. Tell them why you want to make the picture. Practice with people you know so that you are comfortable; people can sense when you aren't.
Use your imagination! A self-portrait can reveal a lot about you, by including props and even other people that are meaningful in your life.
I like this photo because of the sky color and how the berry's stand out from everything in the picture.
I like this photo because the women is doing yoga where there is cliffs and little mountains. The morning sunrise you can see on the ground it also makes light to the picture.

I like how this photo is in black and white also the only thing that has color is his shirt and he's looking up. He looks confident when he took this picture.

This photo i liked because they took it from the side and she is looking away from the camera so we see the whole side of her face.

The girl in this picture is leaning on a tree and the background is nothing but green because she's in like a forest or park. I like how the light shines on her hair and arm.
I like this photo because the man looks cold and makes a weird face.
